It was a pretty basic week.
We had the MP2 Elders still with us until Wednesday. On
Tuesday we helped a member move and they took us out to Hawaiian Bros.
On Wednesday we had our district council but also interviews with
President Richards. This was his final time doing interviews with the
missionaries before going home next Transfer. It was a really awesome
time. They also had an activity with another district. We wore ties that
President Richards cut off of us. I wore the tie that I flew into
Houston wearing in Honor of President Richards. After we got back the
other Elders packed up their stuff and moved back to their apartment
because it got power again. We then had an exchange with the Zone
Leaders that night. The day after the exchange we did some service and
helped a guy get things out of his house that caught fire. It was super
hot inside as we were gathering things to get out. We had some members
go out with us to make some visits which was cool. One member says he
will make us Touchdown Burgers. I can’t remember everything in it but I
know it sounds super good. We had a lesson with our Angolan family
again. It was super cool. They asked if there were any videos they could
watch about the Restoration and we found the Restoration movie in
Portuguese for them. Sunday was good. We didn’t get anyone to church but
that's OK. Our friend's wife was sick and he didn’t want to leave her
alone. We will emphasize the importance of coming to church.
It
has been a slow week as we passed off friends to other missionaries and
had to stop teaching others because we can’t get in contact with them.
Now we are going on the finding grind. We will find more people to
teach. Supposedly it might storm again this week. At least that's what
my weather app says. I hope you all are enjoying the nice weather. It
continues to get hotter every day here. Right now as I am writing this
it is 94 degrees but it feels 109 degrees. Stay safe out there!
